The heart has its reasons

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is being trolled for wearing his heart on his sleeve. Its okay, leave him alone. He is 56, has the money ( for ali+mony) and has no feeble functioning heart! Remember, only he got us away from doogna Lagaan ( Hindi for ‘double taxation’ used as a punishment by the British rulers- just a dig at the central theme of the movie Lagaan, folks) as he swept madam Elizabeth Russell off her feet! When Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates can be applauded for their guts, why not our celluloid maestro?

Jokes apart, as a wise man once told me… “Man (male) was never meant for monogamy by mother nature… These are all the trappings of the civil world!” In the recent past, lot of these famous guys have stepped off their ships in calm seas in favour of sail boats…most of them in their mid life! The real crisis is with the sentimental fools- mostly women: the folk who really believe in playing house, fairytales and happily ever after kind of stuff that is drilled into them by the scheming world. ‘Marriages are made in heaven’… ’till death do us part’ kind of stuff, remember?

But to step into another wedlock is a feat, especially after all the settlements of the old tenure. And to do it all (just imagine), all over again – courtship, wine and roses, wedding brouhaha, a new wedding anniversary…all the expenses. But the heart has its reasons.

So people, stop moaning! Some stay on forever, some venture out, some succeed while the rest stay in a resigned state or really contented. Marriage is afterall an institution…

  3. Loved this writing. You write so well and we readers get connected immediately. As for Aamir , he gets his horoscope rewritten every 15 years. Dil da mamla mein amir hey ji. Mera kya hey? Arpita ….one who sacrifices …..ha ha ha

  4. Good thought shared Sush ❤ as ever of course ❤ And yes! I totally agree to “But the heart has its reasons.” The heart all red like the red rose surges with myriad emotions rather than logic, and the law of the heart is stranded differently for each of us! So why critique and curse and troll!

  5. Hey, Very concisely drilled in both ❤️&🧠 at the same time.👏👏👏.
“Man (male) was never meant for monogamy by mother nature…” 👇
I think the real reason with male is their ” Inability to Conceive” than the mother nature. Conception brings responsibility & vulnerability at the same time & male folks are presumably not great at it. Conception freedom is offloaded to ” ❤️” as the reason for their drift..😃.
