What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?
This prompt today really made me think. I thought about some real existential ones you know…about the essential aspects of life , air to breathe ,time to myself, love etc. but then the masseur ladies from Bangkok and all the other masseurs who have done their hard work on my feet 🙏 came knocking at the conscience.. and foot massage came out on top.

This is one luxury treatment that gets my vote over a lot of other things. Love, air, water, retail therapy – all can fall in line after.
Imagine the calm and soothing press of thumbs and fingers on the tired soles of the feet…the circular pressure into the arches and the ankles. Bliss , bliss and bliss 😊😊
.. cannot agree more ..that one selfless human touch def takes one to another world .. absolutely bliss bliss bliss.. btw reading ur blogs in no less . The way we wish foot massage went long similarly always wish ur blog goes a bit long .. 😄🙌🏽 ..

🙏😄thank you for all the kind words. I try to keep it brief, as readers have very little time for the written word in this day n age of visual gratification… aka vlogs n reels 😊

If you know foot massages, they don’t come cheap in any country! So that is why it has been listed as a luxury in this post. And they come with all the paraphernalia – air-conditioned room, a foot bath, great comfy recliners and they charge a bomb. But as I said, this is one luxury I can’t do without.

Priti, hope you know that Kerala is called God’s own country, and I live here. North India is suffering now with extreme heat conditions, but it’s raining cats and dogs here.

One such soothing process did breathe life into my numb nerves (or choked veins?) and set me back on my two feet to manoevure the smooth silver sands of Goa. Unfortunately, never asked his name… never thanked him enough! I WISH I HAD!
It all started with my daughter’s quick visit to India and her deep desire for a family time before she flew back home. GOA was the only option, the best one too, as my son was too busy at college there. Well, as the plans were set, my right leg came in the way! An arthritic issue had stalled my free movement and travel for quite some time! Well, my firebrand daughter never took NO for an answer and bundled me up on the train.
As we snaked in into our destination, I realized I was in deep trouble! My limbs froze… this time, the good partner one too! Somehow, they dragged me out onto the platform and into the wheel chair the kind coolie had pulled in as a forethought!
The challenge did not end there! The ‘NO’ never worked for any of the visits made around; I hobbled around… graciously supported by the two stalwart siblings! The beach episode… I still remember the “OMG could one be this adventurous!” looks that met every move of mine. And then, right after I settled down onto the strong footed charpai, this local god of the feet arrived and offered to heal me!
I have no clue how he did it, but he did set me back on my two feet in the next 20 mnts. Thanks to him, the rest of the trip went normal… without much drama !
OMG that appears to be RAMAYAN! Sorry Sush!

Ahh, that must have been Goa-God sent! How could you reach Goa n still hobble around? Must ‘ve been a great masseur to have you remember him even now. 😊😊

I do enjoy a good foot massage! Reflexology is based on the benefits of pressing on trigger points in the feet.

There are many points on a foot that refer to different parts of the body! If you know where to press!
