Owning less clothes…

Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

See, this is not one of my usuals. Bear with me as I speak solemn.

Yes, the Covid times and its aftermath taught me a vital lesson.

No point buying and owning aplenty- clothes, shoes et al…they will lie unused in your cupboard, waiting for that right moment, while you would have passed on, for all you know 😭

And then, they won’t be able to  distinguish “handwash only” from “dry clean only” once your coveted labels are vacated out of your cupboards- once you are gone. They will all be treated as trash.

Some very vivacious and avid collectors of a variety of garments had to bow out  early from this world : suddenly, so out of turn ! and it hurt me real much to see all their collections languish in bundles, awaiting an unknown fate…

“Buy only on requirement basis” is my new mantra.

If buying two, disowning any “older two” must precede the purchase.

It works for me, my storage space and my wardrobe!

    1. Thank you for endorsing the thought and a follow. I have done so too, but only after landing at another Savvydawn. But I don’t see the same thumbnail pic of yours there. Could you be a bit more specific? I have already followed 2 others and not you, I fear😊

  1. I agree with your pov of buying on requirement I used to buy clothes or even a lot of other stuff impulsively waiting for Myntra or Amazon sale later realised half of the clothes don’t fit or haven’t been worn and that I don’t use those items which I end up buying without any thought.

So now I wait 30 days before making any decisions of if I truly need that piece of clothing or that item… sale won’t be there but it’s fine atleast I won’t be buying recklessly!

    1. Absolutely and these sales are mostly scamming us! I have this feeling that they have a special manufacturing unit for sale garments 😉! They neither look good nor fit well when they arrive ( most of the time)
Anyway,it’s a great idea to pause before leaping into the sale.
      Thanks for endorsing the view
