Going crazy!

I feel bad for the people who claim that they never go nuts! Yes, those who never go crazy, I mean.Defining lines are decided by? Sanity ends at which point, any given definition perhaps?

“Normal/sane as opposed to “abnormal”, “crazy”, “insane”, “going nuts”,” losing your marbles”, “wild”,”going bonkers” “crackpot”, “mental case”… and some more.

We are quick to judge, hasty in labelling and sealing a person in a tight compartment. “Are you crazy?””Behave normal!”“Paagal ho kya”(Hindi for “are you mentally deranged?”)These phrases are everywhere! Who judges the mental equilibrium of the members of a society?

Think out of the box, think against the grain, act different and you are sure to carry one of the above sobriquets to your head. We have such personalities in every family, every work place, every batch at college and one or two in every neighborhood!All great enterprises and inventions are results of “crazy”, isn’t it? Is a thrill seeker crazy? Is a narcissist crazy? Is a plutocrat crazy?

To top it, we have able brain whisperers (yes in the same class of a horse whisperer) called psychologists and psychiatrists who sometimes end up with malfunction in their own wiring with all their ministrations.On a lighter note: What do you think of Bear Grylls? or Arnab? or Ms Sawant?…add some, delete some!!

  2. hahahahaha so lovely . it’s high time somebody invent a sanity meter .. 😝😁. .. so far been trying to remain composed ; with the testing times up (‘in heaven on earth ) it’s getting so tough to hold a balance .. absolutely CRAZY KIYA RE.. ..

  4. So apt a topic chosen! Loved it!
    Well on a different note when whole of India going crazy over 370 I find myself totally secluded. Everyone ( for or against the motion) seem to know all about 370 by heart when I needed a thorough study over it.
    What do you say? Who’s the real crazy?
    With this social media at hand we are going” crazy ” to show how happy as a family we are/ how traditional we are / how talented our kids are and blah blah blah!

    I repeat with you ” CRAZY KIYA RE “!

    1. Everyone in the heartland wants to buy land in Kashmir, set up business in the valley and marry the belles from “Firdaus ba roy i Zameen ast”, while lounging in their living rooms; they must actually be knowing Article 370 and all its provisions!! My blogs are only for ‘crazy’ like us!!

  9. You are right, dear Sush 🙂 Also, that crazy streak surfaces at the most unexpected moment, and though you try hard to figure out where ‘the sanity point’ had swerved from, you just can’t lay a finger on it!
