Recently we lost a loved one.
A family member just vanished into nothingness within a matter of days and here we sit recalling his jokes and vagaries and quirks like he is off to some far off place and will return. Even his garden slippers sit around waiting for him.

An earthen pot containing his ashes was interred into the waves and we bid him a final good bye. You see, he loved painting the seas and the rocks.

Sending him off…

“For dust thou are, and unto dust thou shalt return.”
(Genesis 3:19)[v22], The Bible
The Bhagavad Gita teaches that the body and spirit are different. The body is merely a medium through which our spirit acts. Our spirit desires and our body acts… The verse as it is in Sanskrit is as follows.
17th shloka, 2nd Adhyaya of the Bhagavad Gita
“avinasi tu tad viddhi
yena sarvam idam tatam
vinasam avyayasyasya
na kascit kartum arhati
Its English translation would be:
“Know that the one to pervade the entire body cannot be destroyed. It is beyond anybody to destroy the soul as it does not perish.”
With this calming thought, we step into our lives to carry on…
Such a nice piece of writing .Heart touching .I was able to visualise everything .👌❤️

This is beautiful and I’m so glad that in your grief, you can still feel the truth. He is there, popping in for visits from time to time, likely enjoying seeing his slippers. I’m sending you light.

🙏 thank you for your kind words … Yes ,he is here in every aspect of our daily lives, in fact scoffing at us at times for all the unnecessary things ( he was an agnostic )we do as rituals.
