My son’s childhood pictures

What makes you feel nostalgic?

Whenever I come across his baby pictures, I think of the happiness and contentment that I felt as a young and tired mother, seeing him bloom before my eyes, while we learnt our way up the world.

I also see my own youngish parents and my handsome husband in those pictures and the mind yearns to relive those moments…

Those pictures remind me of our carefree days, when one cherubic face that dawdled around us 24 X 7 was enough to keep us happy, exhausted and so much in love with the world around us.

Of course, that cherub is now an awkward teenager πŸ˜‚ and avoids our nostalgic jaunts…

The world appears a bit narcissistic and mean these days and our own youth has deboarded a couple of stations behind… The streets are more crowded, living life is more mechanised if not mechanical πŸ˜…, nevertheless;Β  Nostalgia is good…when memories are beautiful.

  1. Beautifully expressed with the thought EXACT mirrored in every home of NOW …. though it distances us from warm cuddles n sweet nothings of the yonder past… it stations them mature …confident enough to mother us guaging long term pebbles not that round & smooth that might surface in our paths ahead ❀
As ever… kudos to your thoughts laid bare here ❀ love every one of them ❀
