What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

I operate on the principle –

” This too shall pass”.

Negative feelings don’t just come out of the blue, there has to be a trigger or a premonition or at least a situation that warrants negativity!

It’s an aspect of our existence,our intellect and a natural way to exhibit our mental toxins,why deny them “the surfacing”,eh?

I do avoid confrontation, avoid conversations with the objects of my negativity, while I am in the grips of it, and it passes.

If it’s about my own action or situation, I keep quiet and go through it, till I can feel myself recovering and silver beams peeping from behind the dark clouds.

Like yin and yang, like happiness and sadness, there is a negative so we can realise positive feelings…
