What is your favorite genre of music?
That which flows, from the singer to my soul.
Bollywood songs with lilting music, songs which are built on beautiful ragas and beautiful lyrics , that speak my thoughts, moods and emotional state at that instance, are very close to my heart.
I must specify my special preference for ‘Indian’ as I can relate easily to the words and emotions. Our music, the non- pop variety carries with it , tremendous relatability… Our sensibilities are more in sync with these ragas and notes, than hip-hop,Reggae or R&B.
I would still enjoy Mozart or Beethoven or keep Adele, Swift or Beyonce on my playlist but nothing beats our music: For Me.
