What is the meaning of life?
Is it that difficult to answer this question?
It is we humans who add unnecessary layers to it… Purpose, Aim, Goal… when destination is already known.
My dear father always finds it an interesting topic to start a conversation… and then you will find very few takers who carry on with him, while most of us sidle away gradually with errands and excuses. His quest for it has taken him far and wide, to Theosophy ,Β theology and astronomy, even to the Big Bang theory… but the answer is still out of reach.
We two, my dear other( smarter π) half and I (yours truly) have defined it as living from one Income Tax return to the next! π
But to keep the long story short… Remember, we started as amoeba… and we are here… Let’s see where humans reach in our unending quest for survival…

Good point, well said. Thanks for the reminder.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. You take one of humanity’s oldest and deepest questions and make it feel wonderfully approachable. Your writing flows effortlessly from profound reflection to light-hearted humor, making the reader smile while quietly encouraging deeper thought.
I especially loved your description of your father’s lifelong search for the meaning of life. His curiosity, stretching from theosophy and theology to astronomy and the Big Bang, beautifully reflects the timeless human desire to understand our place in the universe.
