What’s a promise you made to yourself that you’ve actually kept?
When the Cockroach Janata Party sprung out of the misplaced rantings of a Senior Judge of the apex court of India, I was not only surprised, but awkwardly amazed by the gumption of those who decided to call it just that- “Cockroach Janata Party” no lace, no embroidery, no hiding behind an Acronym! Gen Z or not, they captivated my attention. I followed them closely on social media,on news,and admired their demands, their dealings and their discourse.
What struck me most and kept me hooked, was the clarity of their demand and the way they conducted themselves at the Jantar mantar at New Delhi. Hats off to the team… Dipke, Ranka and Das💐
That however doesn’t end here. “My support for them” I mean. They amassed a huge response and uprising, with their plain and simple words and operations, and I hope to see them lead in a similar manner into the future …
The country saw an uprising like never before! It sent shockwaves down the Corridors of the Indian Parliament. Relentless yet peaceful, day and night on a protest at Jantar mantar,a heritage site as well as a protest zone in the national capital.
Their ” Satyagrah ” like Mahatma Gandhi and many great leaders of this great nation finally bore fruit; these young boys and girls continued the protest, for 36 days, while the country slowly awoke to their call. It was heartening to see people supporting them in every which way, food, water, medical, legal, and emotional… Support poured in like never seen before.
Inspite of our leanings, ideology and the “usual bull…. ” we usually take pride in, I am happy to have put my heart and soul behind these young path pavers ❤
Their movement brought about a huge change in the ministry, in the answerability quotient of the current government and the succour to lakhs of affected youth of our country. Bravo 👏
