Beginning of the end?

Now come the locusts!

The spherical virus with radials protruding out had almost swamped my imagination…

Then the pathos of the migrant workers struck deep and hard. I could only read them as figures in the statistics of “the highest ever…”

The “crude oil nations’ ego” got a rude shock, when news of oil prices crashing to sub zero hit our shores. Thousands are still losing their lives and jobs to Covid. The Indian soothsayers said – “we are an agrarian economy, don’t worry!”and here come the locusts! They polished off standing crops in the five major provinces. Apocalyptic images of this crazy insect has me looking at our docile house mosquitoes with reverence… They are blaming our neighbour of rearing and gearing the locusts as arsenal against India.

Pakistan lost so many lives in an aircrash, but the viewers like me had got so used to the Covid daily death dashboard that the loss in Pakistan got mitigated by the strong currents of exponentially rising death rates all around us.

And Amphan! Gushing and crushing cyclonic winds and rains doing its own dance of destruction across the Bengals!! Need more? The Earth has been heaving frequently here in India these days!

What do you think is next? More virus or natural calamities? An interesting meme caught my eye. Leaving you with that…

  1. Only nature is probably happy right now with the reset , the trees look fresher, birds chirpier, the rivers cleaner, the air lighter and the sky clearer. Unfortunately we continue to live with same narrow miserable attitude.

  2. Thank you for an additional wonderful post. Where else could anybody get that type of data in this kind of a ideal way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am around the look for such data.
