My little boy is about to grow a year older tomorrow…
This young man in the making has shades of our families put together in all his actions, words, mannerisms and even his appearance. At times , it’s hilarious to inadvertently be reminded of our parents or each other when the little guy goes around doing his chores, doing things and behaving in ways that look like a caricature of another person in the family and above all,the ways this wonderful nature works; stuns us.
I think most of us have heard the way appearances are likened to other family members by elders of the clan:
“So much like his grandma”…
“Walks so much like your dad”,…
‘Talks just like you”
“Taken after his mom!”
“His eyes look like yours” and finally our favourite usual
“He is like you”… ( we usually accuse each other when he goofs up😅)
And these days- “I was like you when I was in high school! “ ( reverse engineering👨🔧)
With so many ‘akins’: the poor fellow is a potpourri of all the outstanding / noticeable features of our two clans.
Because so much of him gets attributed to his parents (us) and his family antecedents and so little to him alone, I wonder what goes on in his mind? Oh yeah!Not again ! “these oldies!!” 😄
Now to this post… and what it started with…
He may be a package of attributes due to Mr Mendel, and his Law of Inheritance, but as he stands on the threshold of another year, of this beautiful life, of loving and living, I wish him years of self realised and actualised joys, successes and achievements. ❤

Whatever concotion he’s made up of …. he is our sweet heart ❤ ❤ ❤ It's a pleaseure to be alive to watch all our cutie toddlers walk forth into their own realms of life to create their niche n leave their mark on the sands of TIME ❤ ❤ A biiig hug to the proud parents too ❤

Our son too has taken all the good points from us parents (like my brains and her personality/looks: thank God it’s not other way around) as also from grandparents on both sides
