How do you practice self-care?

…yes, tea is my first step to self care, first thing in the morning.

I actually start the tea and then do some  exercises, right there in my kitchen 😄While the tea steeps in, I finish my lunges and toe touches, ready to face the day. That’s all I guess, with some morning walks thrown in during the week. This is a cute forward on ‘A Cup of tea’ I received today, so I’m updating my post…

Self care has a broad spectrum. From getting pampered in beauty salons ( in my case foot massages- read my last) , to retail therapy, to going on the path of healthy living and  mindfulness…to each his/her own.

But, Mind has its own playlist . Some days it’s the salon, other days it’s shopping for self, and at times, a book- a quiet corner- a Cup of tea- is all you need in the name of self care.

Honestly speaking, I am a strong believer of the concept of  ‘Sat- chitta- anand’ from the Upanishads. “Having Consciousness is Bliss” is the crux  of this concept. So getting another day to live in this beautiful world is good enough to make me feel happy and value my existence. A Cup of tea for self is self care for me.
